We have a building!

We are very excited to share that as of last Friday, we have crossed a major milestone: 

We have secured a purchase agreement!

The property is 42 Royal Avenue and is steps away from McMaster University. We will gain possession of the property in February.

With the purchase agreement finalized, we have overcome one of the largest challenges. We are ready to enter the next phase and begin redeveloping the property to serve as our permanent home. 

Our new home will provide us with space for:

  • students to gather together
  • a community kitchen to empower students to go and serve
  • training for Simple Church Leaders and Apprentices 
  • discipleship resource development
  • individuals needing support navigating through university

and so much more!

Phase 1 -> Phase 2
There is still a need.

Proximity to the campus is one of our core values and we knew we needed to take a step of faith in order to secure a property in the neighbourhood even if it meant an increased cost. Now that we have finalized a purchase agreement, we are better able to estimate the redevelopment and construction costs of the property with our architect and contractor.  

We need to raise an additional $500,000 for this next phase.
$150,000 of this amount is required in the next 5 weeks
